·     Primary responsibilities included development of home automation and entertainment software based on service oriented architecture with clients in MCML, Win Forms, and WPF.

·     Developed modules to integrate hardware with varied communication methods (RS-232, TCP, HTTP, and IR) and custom command formats as standard web service interfaces for use in a home automation system with the .Net platform using C# and WSE.

·     Designed and developed a web client for home automation remote access.  Project involved multiple windows services hosting web services, a WF navigation engine, and an ASP.Net application serving pages and web service endpoints for AJAX consumption.

·     Designed and developed a scheduling system with C# and XML.

·     Designed and developed a scripting system with C# and XML.

·     Primary responsibilities included development of point of sale and enterprise data management software for the retail industry, including and architecture shift from VB and MFC to C# and .Net.

·     Designed an interface for and developed integration modules for specific retail hardware (scanners, payment terminals, etc.).  This involved taking hardware abstraction layers varying from OPOS interfaces provided in COM to proprietary low-level protocols and adapting them to a .Net interface defined in C#.

·     Designed and developed a mobile intranet inventory system with classic ASP and VB Script.

·     Designed and developed a sales tax module.  Made performance and capability improvements in C++ version and implemented core calculations with new interface in C#.

·     Developed  feature improvements to a transaction journaling system.

·     Produced solutions using the .Net framework, MFC, ATL/COM, ASP, RPC, Access, SQL Server, and C-tree using C, C++, C#, Visual Basic and VB Script.
